Urs Albrecht Country: Switzerland Urs Albrecht, born 1962 in Mexico City, is a Swiss based Scientist and Photographer. He began to take photographs in 1972 with an AGFA Isomatic box camera. During the analog area of Photography he developed and printed images in black and white on Ilford and color slides on Cibachrome paper. He provided cover images for scientific journals such as NATURE, EMBO Journal, Journal of Neuroscience and Journal of Cell Science. He won numerous prizes including 3rd place in the Olympics of Photography in 1984. He ranked 3rd in the PhotOlympics 2024. He regularly participates in international photographic competitions and has won over 30 Gold medals. He is member of PSA, RPS, ISF, IUP, MoL, DIPA, PIPC, and IAAP. His photographic interests are centered but not limited to: Architecture, Environmental portraits, Macro and Travel. |
