Sherman Cheang EFIAP/b, M.CPE, SEPSS

Sherman Cheang was born in Macau in 1944 and studied black and white photography in 1968, his abilities in processing film, enlarging and orphaning photographs was self taught. 
From 1970 to 1976, Sherman participated in many international salon photography competitions in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States and Europe won numerous awards.
From 1977 Sherman’s photography projects was temporarily suspended due to work relations. In 2011, he resumed these projects which became his first trial on digital photography.
From 2013 to 2019, Sherman participated in a hundred international salon photography competitions.

Sherman won 11th place in the 2016 Top Exhibitors Photo Travel Digital for Who’s Who in Photography Society PSA. During that period, Sherman participated a total of 127 salon photography competitions in which 322 photos had been selected. Sherman won more than a hundred awards including Gold, Silver, Bronze Medals, HM Certificate and Ribbons.
In 2017-2020, Sherman won the AFIAP title upto EFIAP/b Title from The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) praising his outstanding achievements in the 2016 International Salon Photography Competition up to 2019. 
Sherman was awarded the SEPSS title by the Singapore Photographic Society (PSS) THE PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF SINGAPORE in 2018.
Sherman was awarded the E.CPE title by Campina Photographic Exhibitions Society Romania in 2020. 
He is currently the Vice President of Photographer’s Federation In Macau and the Honorary Advisor of the Macau Digital Photography Association.
