Before 1975, he was a high school teacher in Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam.  He studied photography in his country since 1966 for hobby.
In 1992, he moved into USA and lived in Rochester, New York. He studied Photography and hold a B.S Degree  (Bachelor of Sciences  in Photography and TV Production) at State University of New York, SUNY College at Brockport, New York.  He was employed at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, New York, for twelve years until he retired at the end of 2006.  
He is a member of the APA (Artistic Photography Association, in California, United States of America, HÔ?I A?NH NGHÊ? THUÂ?T VIÊ?T NAM ta?i HOA KY?), a member of CAMERA ROCHESTER, New YorK, and he is a member of PSA ( Photographic Society of America , his PSA ID# 092192 ), since 2001.
