He is Trichy born in 1957 & from 1959, living in Chennai, India. 
He completed master’s degree in Mathematics from Vivekananda College, Madras in 1980. 
He joined State Bank of India in 1983 and retired in 2017. 
His nearly 40 years journey as a Passionate Photographer started in 1979 and joined Photographic Society of Madras in 1986 and later Federation of Indian Photography and India International Photographic Council and continuing as a Life Member now. 
His Salon Journey started in the Film era in 1988 which was a very successful year for him with many awards. He continued his Salon participation up to 1994 and then his interests shifted towards Commercial Photography. 
His coverage of 1980 Total Solar Eclipse was published in local Magazines in Chennai. 
Many of his works in the form of transparencies, Prints and Digital Images were published in the Covers of monthly magazines, in-house magazines all over India, Calendars and Audio Cassettes and Audio CDs. For more than two years, his Photographs were published in the Covers of monthly magazine “Andhra Prabha” from Andhra Pradesh. 
He gave a Solo Prints Exhibition in PSM in 1990.  He was awarded IIPC Bronze in 1992.

He got AFIP Distinction in 2003 and EFIP Distinction in 2020.
He has so far participated over 450 Salons (including Film Era) and accumulated overall 900 acceptances+ from 1988 till date with more than 200 awards to his name till date…
He won many awards at regular intervals in Chennai, organised by many Companies and Newspapers. He is a very successful Wedding  & Event Photographer for 3 decades.
He now continues as a fulltime freelance Photographer as well as a regular Salon participant after retirement.
He was a staunch Nikonian for 25 years and later switched over to Canon pro Gear. 
Now, he is using Canon 5D MK IV, Fujifilm XT2 and Samsung NX500.
At present, he is mentoring more than 30 members of (PSM) Photographic Society of Madras into Salon participation. In the last 75 days of PSM Salon Group activities, they have participated in more than 35 Salons, getting 1150 acceptances and 50 awards overall.
His advice to youngsters: "Shoot a lot of pictures. Experiment. Do not go out with preconceptions of what a picture will look like. That will block you from being receptive to something new and exciting." 
His Motto: " Freeze every moment of LIFE & Enjoy it Image by Image, Frame by Frame".
