I was born in Maidstone, Kent, England and I was a retail manager until ill health forced my early retirement in 2000. I joined Maidstone Camera Club in 1978 and served as a committee member for 32 years. I have served two terms as President and as Chairman. I became an Honorary Life Vice-President in 1998.
I served on the committee of the Kent County Photographic Association for a number of years and until my recent retirement, I was a Premier Judge and
Lecturer for that organisation. 
Since my retirement from work photography has been a life saver for me. I have been fortunate to have achieved success at Club, County, National and International level. I love being out in the landscape taking pictures, but I enjoy an eclectic mix of subject matter. I have owned a camera since I was 10 years of age, so I have been taking pictures for almost 60 years. Photography is my passion.
