I am Prasenjit Basu an amateur photographer, living in Kolkata, India.

After completing my Graduation in Commerce from the University of Calcutta, I have completed my MBA in Marketing and HR.

I have completed my AFIAP distinction and am currently pursuing my EFIAP. My work has been currently displayed in more than 36 countries worldwide.

A professional in Airlines and Travel Industry for many years. I started my journey on DSLR photography around 9 years now.

I started competing in National and International Salons in 2017, encouraged by my teacher and internationally renowned photographer Sri Shyamal Kumar Roy.

I have a special interest in Street, People & Culture, and Travel Photography.

I have always been amazed by the power of strong compositions and story-telling from the work of Influential authors like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Dorothea Lange, Lee Friedlander, Bruce Gilden, William Klein, etc.  

Currently, I shoot in Canon 7D Mark II.

During the current pandemic era, I am shifting my focus towards the mysterious world of Indoor Lights and am currently studying the works of legendary late. Dr. Benu Sen.

For me, photography is a way of life and a very strong medium to influence society in a positive way.
