Photography is a subject that has had a permanent place in our family for three generations. Nevertheless, I have remained an amateur (in the best sense of this word) who pursues his hobby with passion and looks with admiration at the works of the great exponents of this art. From Ansel Adams I learned what „visualization“ means, from Henri Cartier-Bresson how important the „moment decisive“ is and from Andreas Feininger that „know how“ is important - but even more important is „know why“. In my photos I am more interested in shapes than colors, I am out in nature a lot, I have a soft spot for trees on the one hand and for technical structures on the other. I am particularly interested in everything that flies, although aviation motifs are unfortunately not always easy to implement. The special attraction of photography for me lies in the constant attempt to become better - that is, in the constant learning, often from images of other photographers. The Belgian photographer Leonard Misonne taught me that good ideas are more important than focusing on the technical aspects of photography. He was absolutely right when he said: „Le sujet n'est rien, la lumière est tout“.
