Partha Sarathi Dhar spent his joyful childhood with the smell of developer solution and hypo and played with the black-paper roll and spool of roll film instead of toys, as he is a son of renowned photo-artist RajballavDhar, founder of Photographic Society of Murshidabad, Berhampore, West Bengal (Estd-1962). The environment attracted him to do photography from school days. Actually he entered into the world of photography seriously from 1986. But somehow it was discontinued.  He has come back again with full of energy and devotion in 2004 and starts regular participation in salons and exhibitions.  His main area is portrait and pictorial photography. He has achieved many national and international awards and got many distinctions and honor for promotion of photographic art. He acted as a jury member in the judges’ panel in national and international competitions and salons. He also tries to promote photographic art by organizing workshop, outdoor photography, exhibitions and international salon. He is now the Vice-President of Photographic Society of Murshidabad (PSM).
