Marcos Silva

Marcos Silva is a Brazilian photographer who is very interested in urban and social issues, highlighting his work ‘On the banks of Tietê’, which presents an aspect of marginal life in the Sao Paulo city, with the flow of piped water in the Tietê River as a backdrop and the daily lives of people, probably homeless, who use this water for their personal hygiene. This work was a finalist in an important Brazilian photography festival - the 17th Paraty em Foco Festival. He has won awards in the rail mobility category in another major Brazilian competition in Brasília for the last three years. He has actively participated in photography exhibitions and competitions around the world, having get important distinctions such as the PPSA from the Photographic Society of America, IIG/s from the Indian International Group, among others, which has led him to be invited to act as a judge in some salons and photography circuits around the world. He is currently affiliated with Fotoclube ABCclick, one of the most important photo club in Brazil and also a member of the IIG Group in India.
