Born in São Paulo, Lucila de Avila has had a passion for photography since childhood, inspired by her father, who captured family moments and travel experiences through his lens. With a background in engineering, she now dedicates herself to documenting the city of São Paulo and exploring travel photography. Lucila is actively involved in several photography groups led by esteemed photographers, including Vivarua (Paula Lyn), Fotojornada (André Douek), and Fotograma (Emidio Luisi). Between 2018 and 2024, her landscape photography was featured at the Museu Afro Brasil as part of the exhibition "Olhares Revelados." She has also participated in numerous collective exhibitions, such as the Valongo Festival, Paraty em Foco (various editions), the Santista Photography Festival, and the Amparo Photography Festival. Additionally, she took part in the exhibition “A Vida É uma Comédia” and exhibited at the Art & Design Gallery in Miami in 2018 during the “Experiences” show. Lucila's work has earned her notable recognition: one of her photos was selected for the São Paulo 469 Years Call for Entries by Fotoclube ABCClick, and she won an award at the Brasília Photo Show 2022. In the same year, her photograph was ranked among the top 10 in the Mobile Photography competition by *Fotografe Melhor* magazine. Recently, she was a finalist in the Documentary Category at the Brazilian Mobgraphia Festival, selected for the "Trabalho e Trabalhadores P&B 2024" exhibition by Olhar Plural, and earned a Bronze Medal at the 11th Fotoclube ABCClick exhibition.
