Mr. Krishnendu Singha Roy hails from Berhampore, the cultural and largest city of the historical district Murshidabad in the state of West Bengal, India. He holds Post Graduate degree in Botany from the University of Kalyani.
Being inspired by his teachers, he started his photography in his college days with a film camera. But during his higher study, it was lost gradually. After completion of his study when he was working as Project Scientist in a Govt. research project on medicinal plants, he used to travel remote villages to acquire traditional knowledge and information, and take photographs for documentation, etc. From then he restarted his photographic journey once again with a basic compact camera. He joined the Photographic Society of Murshidabad (PSM), the oldest and the only photography club in the Murshidabad district. The constant support of the members of the Photographic Society of Murshidabad enlightens his path to be a Photo Artist.
His field of interest is Pictorial Photography, especially Portrait, Still Life, and Child study. He is also interested in fine art photography and landscape.
