HONORARY DISTINCTION
Hon.CPE

Guy Sidford

I started with my first camera when I was 14, proudly buying my first SLR with which I had a lot of fun but with never having studied the art the results were more miss than hit. It was around three years ago that I decided to get down to some study and understand where I was going wrong and hopefully in understanding, start to improve my results.

Two years ago I joined the Bromsgrove Photographic Society in the UK, which has opened my eyes to what is possible and to learn from a group of very dedicated, enthusiastic and skilled people. I started to enter club competitions and then onto international exhibitions where I have had a number successes which has spurred my interest and desire to learn and improve.

Genre wise I would say that I am a generalist, with a love of landscapes but a hate for the early mornings that they truly demand. However, I hope as I progress my style and specific interests will start to emerge. For the moment I am enjoying the challenge of learning and trying to get each image just that little bit better than the last.
