Giacomo Luiz Mancini Journalist/Photographer Country: Brazil Giácomo Mancini is a journalist and photographer. He began his career at RBSTV Pelotas, where, in addition to being a reporter, I was also a photographer for the Porto Alegre branch of the Jornal Zero Hora, RGSul, Brazil. He also worked at RBSTV Porto Alegre, at Rede Globo, in Rio de Janeiro, as a reporter on culture and, later, on economics; on TV Verdes Mares, a Globo affiliate in Fortaleza and, later, on TV Bahia, also an affiliate of Rede Globo. Meanwhile, the photographer continued working, suggesting - and sometimes imposing - images of photographic plans to the cameramen to better illustrate the reports. Always with the concern that the photographic plans told stories. In 2009 he left reporting to be the journalism manager at TV Bahia. He retired as a journalist in 2019. And he began to dedicate himself completely to photography. Today he takes photographs focused on interior decoration and participates in competitions in Brazil and abroad.

He has participated in five collective photographic exhibitions in Salvador.
2019 - In addition to exhibiting three photographs, I was also one of the organizers of the Exhibitions Colors, Loves, Charms...Bahia, in the Main House of the Museum of Modern Art of Salvador and Salvador do Povo, of Lina and of all Saints, in the Chapel as well from MAM.
One of the photographs on display, Under the Eyes of the Church, was selected to be part of MAM's permanent collection. The 100x150cm work was donated in 2020.
2022 - The work Under the Eyes of the Church, from the permanent collection of MAM, participated in the Encruzilhada Exhibition, which remained in the Main Hall of MAM until August/2022.
2022 - Collective Exhibition Encruzilhada - Museum of Modern Art of Bahia. From March to August.
2023 -  Photographs selected from salons on the Brazilian Photography circuit and also from salons in Buenos Aires, Serbia, Bangladesh and Montenegro.

2023 - The photograph End of Journey received the Salon Gold Medal at the Mirror Reflex Competition in Montenegro and the PSA Gold Medal at the International Exhibition Infinity in Boznia and Herzegovina.
2024 - ICS Honorable Mention with the Photograph Black is Beautiful and two more acceptances at the 8th International Onyx Salon, Campina, Romania.
