I was born in Milano in 1952. After graduating in Mathematics I worked for several years in various fields of IT. Two great passions have always accompanied my life: photography and travels. I started taking my first photos when I was a little more older than 10 after receiving a camera as a gift from relatives belonging to that branch of the family that played a notable role in the production of photographic devices in Milan during the second half of the 19th century. Over time the passion has grown more and more; the equipment improved and, with the arrival of the darkroom, I began to explore new techniques and new forms of expression. At the same time I dedicated myself to the recovery of photographic images from ancient glass plates and films. I regularly participate to national and international contests and the camera is the only essential baggage in any of my movement. Travel photography is the core of the images I shoot. Among these I prefer the search for signs, contrasts, shadows to discover hidden geometries while trying to preserve the maximum simplicity.
