Anne Sargeant EFIAP, PPSA, Hon.CPE Country: France Anne Sargeant is a Fine Art photographer and traveller. I did my first photojournalism in the Solomon Islands in 1979. From then on, I decided to keep a trace of the colourful world of the Pacific, India, Venice… Gradually I became more interested in black and white photography, this forced me to go to the essence of my scenes without being distracted by their colour. Black and white was a good choice for my street scenes but also for wild landscapes and seascapes. It forced me to think more about the graphic aspects of the image and how to use them to underline the emotional aspects. After over thirty years in the Vallée de Chevreuse in the Paris area, I moved to Brittany where my photography studio in Saint Goustan is now open to visitors. I have been a member of several photography societies: Saclay Visions, Limours and now La Gacilly. I enjoy working on a series of photos and generally organize at least one big exhibition a year. I have been selected three times for the Orangerie du Sénat in the Luxemburg Gardens in Paris, many times for the Salon des Artists Français in the Grand Palais and also for the Festival de la Gacilly. http://www.anne-photo.net |
