HONORARY DISTINCTION
Hon.CPE

Angela Poggioni  GMPSA, EFIAP/s

Country:  USA / Italy

“Starting out as a painter and spending hours in museums, time flew admiring the thin and thick lines, the single brush strokes, the seemingly messy impasto that from a distance created a masterpiece. Perfection does not exist in Art. Beauty has nothing to do with perfection. But those paintings were perfect. In fact not one stroke could have been changed to my eyes or the balance of the whole could have fallen apart. This is also what I aim to in my wildlife photography, to give a sense of inevitability to the image as a whole, to project the perception that it could not be any other way. But wildlife photography is more than taking the perfect shot. It’s about spending time in nature, and enjoying the magic moments of meeting animals in their habitat, to witness struggles for survival, love of mothers for their offspring, endurance, resilience and strength. It teaches patience, respect and to appreciate life as it is in the present moment. This is why I became a Wildlife Photographer.”
