Andrija Kasom, G.APS, Hon.CPE Country: Montenegro His decades of working as a photographer went without intrusive promotion. His best promoters are photos themselves. Resembling the shadows that he so magically “plays” with, Andrija Kasom creates prodigious “optical illusions”. |

Andrija started with art photography in 2000. It all started two decades ago when his father gave him “Kiev” camera as a gift, which he keeps today as dearest memory. Passion he felt that day “pushed” him into art world. Starting as an amateur, making photos “for himself”, a “fateful” acquaintance will change course of interest in his life. Mirko Tolji?, professor at Academy of fine arts in Trebinje /Bosnia and Herzegovina/, recognized an artist in him, and gave him advice and encouragement for future work. Artistic talent and constantly inquisitive and explorative spirit did the rest.
He had four individual and more than 110 collective exhibitions. He is the winner of 32 international awards.
After several years of pause, Andrija returned to international scene. His photos were exhibited in Greece, France, Italy, Australia, Czech Republic, Turkey, USA, Canada, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Tanzania, Cyprus, Sri Lanka, India, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Singapore, Azerbaijan, China...
"Using subtle details and perfect colorful compositions, Andrija depicts his Montenegro, gentle and innocent, yet vigorous and rampant at the same time. His photos are immensely appealing because they feature the spirit of artists from Cetinje, who can be matched only if you’re the best.” (Tiho Vujovi?, painter).
Searching for Montenegro that existed since ancient times, Andrija Kasom decided to offer spectators the joy, delight and optimism that his photos emanate.” (Koviljka Calasan, art historian).
