Taraknath Dey Country: Canada His Passion for photography ignited during 1970 with a borrowed German Isoly II Medium format Camera and 2 Rolls of IL ford 120 Black &White films at the early age of 13. Since then he never looked back. As an Accredited News Photographer he free-lanced for Numerous Publication and newspapers during 80s in Madras, India. Recipient of Lalit Kala Academy Gallery Award for his presentation of "Jallikattu" (BULL FIGHT) in the Contest 'My Country My People' in 1989. During this period he served as Personal Photographer to Her Excellency First Lady of India and the President His Excellency Mr. R. Venkataraman. He was a integral Part of World Dance Alliance Madras Chapter and a Permanent Photographer for them including many world renowned Bharatanatyam Dancers Like Padma Subramanium, Chitra Bisweswaran, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Yamini Krishnamurthy, Sonal Mansingh, Mallika Sarabhai to name a few. Having awarded a Diploma in Digital Photography with Distinction  from Harvard School of Photography, USA He also holds a Diploma in Photography from Shaw Academy Ireland with Distinction and a Diploma in Wedding Photography with Distinction from Shaw Academy Ireland. He received his ARTIST.FIAP Distinction in 2018, EXCELLENCE.FIAP Distinction in 2020 from The International Federation of Photographic Art. BELGIUM.

He has been Awarded MASTER.PSA Distinction in 2019 , MASTER 2 PSA and  GRANDMASTER PSA Distinction in 2020 by Photographic Society of America. USA and 10th in The World For Photo Travel Print Divition acording To Who's Who 2019
He received his EXCELLENCE.FIP Distinction in 2019 from The Federation of Indian Photography, INDIA
