Satish Hanumantharao, MFIAP, MICS, ARPS, cMOL, GPA.PESGSPC, Hon.FICS, Hon.GPAPESCSPC, Hon.CPE, Hon.YPS, Hon.PSP, Hon.ECPA, Hon.FLAS, Hon.FWPAI Country: India Satish Hanumantharao or H Satish is a world-renowned fine art photographer who got into the art of photography at the age of 12. Even though his academic career was into cinematography, he was more fascinated about still life, nature, and pictorial art. He is a commercial and advertising photographer by profession, and a hobbyist in landscape and nature.  The art of playing with light and presenting things ordinary in extraordinary perspective, the portrayal of nature in its finest detail, and to capture the various human emotions in all its glory is what distinguishes Satish. He is the first Indian to be honoured with both EFIAP and MFIAP in nature colour prints, the highest honours in photographic world. He has been an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) of Great Britain since 1999.  Apart from the above honours that have been conferred on him, it is but apparent that he has won many a competition garnering up to 900 and odd awards among which gold medals from China, Scotland, Austria, Finland and France, Serbia, Croatia, Singapore are but significant. Over 2000 of his works have been exhibited in numerous national and international salons.

He has been a member of the jury for numerous national and international salons. He was also invited by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India as one of the jury members for the national level photography competition organized by the ministry, in Delhi. He has to his name over 12,00,000 assorted images in various genres of photography. 
His works have been published in well-known magazines like India Today, Outlook Traveller, Better Photography, Smart Photography, Sanctuary India, His clientele includes BEML, BHEL, Dinodia Photo Library, MICO, MCF, Canara Bank, Outlook Traveller, TDPS (Japan), World Wildlife Fund (WWF).  etc. He also worked as an official photographer for the department of tourism, Govt. of Karnataka, Indian Coffee Board, NALCO (A Navratna Company). 
Besides all these, Satish is also a mentor for various upcoming photographers under whom they have establishes themselves in the field of photography. He frequently conducts workshops and provides training in basics of photography as well as advanced photography. He is currently the President of Youth Photographic Society (YPS) under whom the club is at its peak in their global participation in international salons. For his various achievements and contribution to the field of art photography, the state government of Karnataka bestowed him with the title of ‘State artist’ in 2017.
