Ian Ledgard, GMPSA/b, EFIAP/p, GPU-Cr5, AWPF, BPE1, Fgmc, G.APU, L.APS/G , E.SSP Country: Wales I have been taking photographs since I was given a Kodak Box Brownie in my early teenage years. Since then I have worked in the darkroom producing mono prints, Cibachrome colour prints as well as developing both black and white film and colour transparencies using E4 and E6 processes. On my retirement, after a career in Forest Management, I began to adapt to digital photography Firstly by scanning negatives and transparencies before purchasing a 3.1 mp digital camera. Since then the darkroom has been a thing of the past and I have used Adobe Photoshop from version 5.1 to it present incarnation. I print all my own work using Epson printers. I am not a specialist in any photographic genre and I use fairly basic equipment presently a Panasonic Lumix G80 and a Panasonic Compact both of which meet my requirements. In 2003 I started to enter Internation Exhibitions and have enjoyed the challenge of pitting my images against others worldwide. I have gained acceptances in 100 countries and gained around 700 awards and several photographic distinctions. It is an honour to add this distinction from the Campina Photographic Exhibitions Society. |
