Andrew Hersom is a retired pharmaceutical chemist who worked as a quality manager for a multinational pharmaceutical company. He got serious about photography in 1982, joining a camera club and entering prints and slides in international exhibitions until 1995 when most photography ceased due to the pressure of work.  He got involved in club photography again when he retired; currently he is competitions secretary of his camera club. His subjects include industrial, urban and maritime scenes as well as photojournalism, photo travel and nature photography. He obtained QPSA in 2018 and PPSA in 2019 and is PSA Country Membership Director and PSA Country Liaison Officer for England.
